Fine spreading technique
On Darmstadt’s Mathildenhöhe a modern dwelling has been built in the context of historical Art Nouveau in close consultation with the heritage protection authorities, providing a relationship to the surrounding building development with contemporary architectonic means. In the house concept light plays a significant role. The central building structure consists of a cube in which various light paths are cut so that natural light can penetrate to the interior of the house even in winter. Vertical visual references here underline the perme ability. Clear zoning ensures that the residents’privacy and that of their guests is maintained. For the design of the facade the owners decided on a smooth Capatect Accento surface as the finishing coat on the facade insulation system.
